New, somewhat faster than the normal 729-08. The top layer (rubber surface) is absolutely identical as with the normal 729-08, only the bottom layer is more dynamic and catapult stronger. However, the bottom layer is not "factory-tuned", so that the distinction is tangible but not extreme. The Friendship 729-08 ES is better suited for a European way of playing than the normal 729-08. The high effect value also speaks for this rubber.
